The airfield is open and we look forward to welcoming new visitors during 2023!

Rufforth East welcomes pilots from all forms and disciplines of  aviation.

With a hard runway orientated 23/05 and 500 metres in length and a grass overrun area of ~200 metres we can accommodate most single engine GA types as well as Microlights, Gyrocopters and Paramotors.

With a hard runway and taxiways Rufforth East is available all year round regardless of weather.

We are open for flying dawn ’till dusk 365 days a year.

No PPR is necessary so long as pilots abide by the information contained in our  Visiting Pilot’s Guide to Flying into Rufforth Airfield East.

Our expansive apron provides extensive space for aircraft parking and we have options for tie downs on grass areas (please contact us for more information).

Rufforth East is a Radio Mandatory airfield, callsign Rufforth Radio on 120.380MHz.

Please Note that the airfield is surrounded by farm land so farm vehicles are active 24×7, also Zeus UAV test fly military grade UAV’s fly at Rufforth East, and extensive glider flying takes place next door at Rufforth West.

Rufforth East is an unlicensed airfield, do not use Rufforth East for any aviation activity which requires the use of a licensed aerodrome.
